About

Welcome to Plasback, New Zealand’s pioneer in agricultural recycling.

At Plasback, our aim is to make recycling farm plastics easier through the adoption of better technologies and processes. Since the inception of our recycling stewardship of farm plastics in 2006, we have collected over 30 million kilograms of agricultural plastics.

Founded with the vision of closing the loop on farm plastics, Plasback has become the cornerstone of agricultural waste management across the country. We proudly operate New Zealand’s original and most comprehensive collection program for used farm plastics, ranging from silage wrap and polypropylene bags to containers and other plastic products commonly found in agricultural settings.

We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of agricultural practices through innovative recycling technologies and partnerships. Our programs not only ensure that plastics are collected and recycled responsibly, but they also educate and engage the farming community in sustainable practices, aligning with both local and international environmental standards.

Our recycling processes are designed to repurpose the collected material, turning what was once considered waste into valuable products, called Tuff Solutions, for use within the agricultural sector and beyond. This not only helps in conserving natural resources but also in reducing landfill waste and lowering greenhouse gas emissions.

Join us in our journey towards a greener, more sustainable agriculture. Together, we can make a significant impact—one recycled item at a time
